1. What is Exxat One?
Exxat One connects schools, students, and sites on a single platform for the student placement and onboarding process. It streamlines the management of fieldwork rotations between educational institutions, healthcare providers, and students by providing a centralized platform for placement requests, student information, and onboarding.
2. What is the email for support?
3. Will this only be visible once we pay for this service?
Schools can access Exxat One at no cost, whether or not they use Exxat Prism. For student-pay setups, the school can choose to pay the placement fee on behalf of its students. If the clinical site requires the student to pay, this will be clearly indicated in the system, and payment is required only after the student has been confirmed to a schedule.
4. Is Exxat One a system where sites let schools know they have availability to host a student, or is it a program where schools can request sites to host a student?
Exxat One supports both options. Sites can indicate their available locations and availability, and schools can request placements at those locations.
5. Will this only be for sites that are using Exxat One?
Yes. Exxat One placement requests apply to sites that have signed up to use Exxat One to manage their student placement process.
6. I do not have the option for Exxat One. Do I need to request access?
If you are an eligible user and do not see the Exxat One tile, please email us at one-support@exxat.com.
7. I am currently using Prism, and when I log in, it automatically logs me into Prism with no option for Exxat One.
The Exxat One tile is shown only to eligible students and programs. If you meet the eligibility requirements and do not see the Exxat One tile, please email us at one-support@exxat.com.
8. If I have a University SSO for login to Prism, can I use the same for Exxat One?
Once you navigate to login.exxat.com and enter your email address, you will be taken to a landing page. Clicking Exxat One will trigger an email to your email address. Use the link in the email to set up your Exxat credentials.
9. If I have Exxat login credentials for Prism, can I use the same for Exxat One?
Yes. You can use the same Exxat credentials for Exxat One and Exxat Prism.
10. If I have V3 login credentials for Prism, can I use the same for Exxat One?
No. You need to use your Exxat credentials. Once you navigate to login.exxat.com and enter your email address, you will be taken to a landing page. Clicking Exxat One will trigger an email to your email address. Use the link in the email to set up your Exxat credentials.
11. How do I know if a site requires student payment?
Most sites currently cover the cost of student placements. If a site requires the student to pay, the site will be marked Payment Required in the system. You can also refer to the current site-partner payment status information in the Help Center.
12. What are the payment options if a site does choose student payment?
A site can choose either a $20 per-placement fee or a $40 per-student fee. The $40 fee covers all placements for that student at locations under that parent company/site.
13. Does the $40 per-student payment method cover the cost of all placements at one specific site, or all placements for any site using Exxat One?
It covers all placements at locations under that specific parent company/site. It does not cover placements at other sites using Exxat One.
14. How are placements populated in the system? Do sites indicate their availability?
Sites add their available locations and availability to Exxat One. Schools can then make placement requests based on those available slots.
15. If you publish the placements in Prism, do you still need to confirm the student in Exxat One?
Yes. Publishing a placement in Prism does not confirm the student in Exxat One. The student must be confirmed in Exxat One to receive access and begin the onboarding process.
16. Is there a way for student information, such as names and emails, to be imported from Exxat Prism instead of manually entering it when assigning students to rotations?
Yes. Prism schools can access the imported list of students from Prism when scheduling or adding student details in Exxat One. This allows schools to select the student information rather than manually entering it.
17. Does the school have to use compliance tracking for onboarding materials in Exxat One?
Schools can use compliance tracking to monitor each student’s onboarding progress for a schedule and track the completion of required onboarding items. If a site has configured specific requirements that need to be fulfilled by the school, those requirements can also be tracked and completed by the school.
18. Will we still have the ability to send slot requests the same way in Prism?
Yes. Schools can continue to send slot requests through Prism for sites that do not use Exxat One. For sites using Exxat One, the placement request process takes place through Exxat One.
19. Will we be unable to continue to use Prism for placements?
No. You will continue to manage placements in Prism. For sites using Exxat One, however, the placement request process needs to take place in Exxat One. For sites that do not use Exxat One, you can continue to send slot requests through Prism.
