It highlights key metrics, pending actions, and recent updates so you can quickly identify what needs attention and take action without navigating across multiple screens.
All data points on the dashboard are interactive; clicking on cards, numbers, or chart segments takes you directly to the relevant Requests or Schedules screen with filters already applied.

Before you begin, here are a few important things to know:
- The dashboard provides a real-time snapshot of your placement activity
- It includes data across requests, schedules, and onboarding progress
- Most sections allow toggling between Individual and Group views
- You can switch between the next 30 days and all upcoming schedules
- Every number, card, and chart is clickable and actionable
- Clicking any data point opens the corresponding screen with filters applied
- Alerts and attention sections help prioritise time-sensitive actions

Accessing the Activities Dashboard
To access the dashboard:
- Go to the left-hand navigation menu
- Click on the Activities Dashboard icon
This opens the dashboard with all placement activity metrics and insights.
Summary Metrics
At the top of the dashboard, summary cards provide a quick snapshot of your placement activity:
- Requests Approved – Number of approved requests and associated slots (last 30 days)
- Requests Declined – Number of declined requests and associated slots (last 30 days)
- Requests Pending and In Progress – Requests awaiting site review, including pending and in-progress items
- Schedules (Confirmed)
- Ongoing – Confirmed schedules currently in progress
- Upcoming – Confirmed schedules scheduled to begin soon
These metrics help you quickly understand workload and request outcomes.
Upcoming Schedules Overview
This section provides a visual breakdown of upcoming schedules and onboarding status.
You can:
- Toggle between Individual and Group views
- Switch between 30 Days and All Upcoming
Individual View
Displays two charts:
- Schedule Pipeline Overview
- Confirmed
- Not Confirmed
- To Be Scheduled
- Cancelled
- Student Onboarding Overview
- Compliant
- Some Action Needed
- Not Started
Group View
Displays three charts:
- Group Filling Overview
- All Slots Filled
- Partially Filled
- Not Filled
- Cancelled
- Schedule Confirmation Overview

Pending Items Overview
This section helps you understand how long requests and schedules have been pending action.
Requests Pending Approval
Displays a stacked graph grouped by ageing:
- < 7 days
- 7–15 days
- 16–30 days
- 30+ days
Each bucket shows:
- Request Pending
- Review in Progress
Schedules Pending Confirmation
Displays ageing for schedules pending assignment or confirmation:
- To Be Scheduled
- Not Confirmed
Each ageing bucket shows how long schedules have remained pending.

Alerts and Action Indicators
Below the graphs, alerts highlight time-sensitive actions:
- Schedules starting soon that require confirmation
- Schedules that have passed their start date and need updates or cancellation
These alerts help you prioritise immediate actions.
Other Items That Need Attention
This section highlights additional operational items requiring follow-up:
- Pending faculty assignment – Group schedules without assigned faculty/CI
- Faculty pending compliance – Faculty with incomplete onboarding
- Students awaiting first login – Students who have not accessed the platform
- Faculty awaiting first login – Faculty who have not logged in
These indicators help ensure smooth placement execution beyond requests and scheduling.
Recent Activities
The Recent Activities panel provides a real-time feed of updates across requests and schedules.
It includes activities such as:
- New requests submitted
- Requests approved, declined, or cancelled
- Schedules confirmed, updated, or cancelled
Each activity displays:
- Discipline
- Location
- Date of update
- The user who performed the action
Additional capabilities:
- Activities are shown from the latest to the oldest
- Click any activity to open the related request or schedule
- The system navigates directly to the relevant screen with details pre-loaded
This helps you quickly review updates and take action without manual searching.
