Availability-Based Wishlists

Overview

Availability-Based Wishlists help schools collect and review student placement preferences before requesting slots from clinical sites. While wishlists are created and configured in Exxat Prism, student responses are reviewed and managed in Exxat One.

Using Wishlist Responses, schools can:

• Review student placement preferences
• Track submission progress
• Evaluate demand for specific availabilities
• View preferences by student or availability
• Request slots directly from wishlist responses

Getting Started

To review wishlist responses:

1. Log in to Exxat One.
2. Select Wishlist Responses from the left navigation menu.
3. Open a wishlist by selecting View Responses.

The Wishlist Responses page displays all active and closed availability-based wishlists created in Exxat Prism, along with details such as course, rotation, assigned students, submission progress, and wishlist status.

Reviewing Student Preferences

Wishlist responses can be viewed in two ways:

By Student

Review each student's ranked preferences, including:

• Ranked opportunities
• Availability details
• Student comments or reasons for selection
• Submission status

This view helps schools understand placement preferences at an individual student level.

By Availability

Review responses grouped by availability to see:

• How many students selected an opportunity
• Preference rankings across students
• Overall demand for an availability

This view is useful when evaluating interest in specific placement opportunities.

Requesting Slots from Wishlist Responses

Schools can take action directly from either view using View Request or Request Slot.

Opening an availability provides access to:

• Availability details
• Student preference information
• Student rankings
• Student comments (if provided)

When requesting slots, schools can select students who expressed interest in that availability and continue through the standard slot request workflow.

Tracking Wishlist Progress

Submission status indicators help schools monitor readiness for review and action:

• Not Started – Student has not started the wishlist.
• In Progress – Student has saved preferences but has not submitted them.
• Submitted – Student has completed and submitted preferences.
• Reviewed – School has reviewed the submission.

These indicators help determine when schools can begin evaluating responses and requesting placements.
